The Oloba of Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Joseph Oluwadare Agunbiade (Otutubiotun I) has joined his ancestors.
He was aged 84.
Oba Agunbiade, who reigned for 39 years, was said to have died at the wee hours of Friday.
Competent palace sources that confirmed the monarch’s death to Thefrontrank, said the traditional rites have commenced.
As part of the rites, all markets and shops in the community have been closed, with residents deserting roads and streets, staying indoors.
