
Hon. Ganny Oluwadare Dauda has congratulated the people of Ikare Akoko and Akoko land in general on the Senate’s passage of the bill establishing the Federal University of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) in Ikare Akoko.
In a statement, Hon. Dauda expressed his profound gratitude to the sponsor of the bill, Most Distinguished Senator Olajide Emmanuel Ipinsagba, whom he described as a “silent achiever” for his tireless efforts in seeing the project through to its successful passage.
“This is a monumental achievement that will open up new opportunities for the youth of Akoko land and Ondo State as a whole,” Hon. Dauda said. “The establishment of this university will not only provide access to quality education but also equip our youth with the skills needed to compete in the global economy.”
Hon. Dauda highlighted some of the advantages the university will bring to Akoko land and Ondo State, including:
- Enhanced access to quality education in ICT
- Increased opportunities for economic growth and development
- Empowerment of youth with skills in emerging technologies
- Boost to the local economy through increased economic activity
Hon. Dauda also extended his congratulations to the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, noting that this achievement occurred during his tenure. “We cannot but congratulate Governor Aiyedatiwa for providing leadership that has fostered an environment conducive to development and progress,” he said.
“We are optimistic that with the President’s assent, this university will become a reality and a beacon of hope for the people of Akoko land and Ondo State,” Hon. Dauda added.
Once again, Hon. Dauda congratulated Senator Ipinsagba on his achievement and the people of Ikare Akoko and Akoko land on this milestone.
