Gunmen on Monday evening abducted three members of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Ogbese, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Thefrontrank gathered that the incident occurred when the victims were returning from a Bible study session held in the Kasemola area in the Ogbese.
According to a WhatsApp message shared on the church’s group platform, it urge members to pray for the safe return of the victims.
“Good morning beloved, kindly pray along with us. Three of our members were kidnapped yesterday(Monday) after Bible study at Kasemola inside Ogbese axis. We need divine intervention,” the message read.
Confirming the incident, the police spokesperson in the state, DSP Olushola Ayanlade, said he could not confirm the number of the victims.
Thefrontrank reports that residents of Ondo State have continued to raise alarm over the escalating violence and kidnappings affecting the socio-economic activities of the state, calling for urgent intervention from the government.
