Mr Olatunbosun Awe, the Liaison Officer of Isowopo Ward 2 in Akoko North East Local Government for Senator Jide Ipinsagba has resigned over payment of N20,000 as monthly salary.
Thefrontrank reports that Ipinsagba of the All Progressives Congress is representing Ondo North Senatorial District.
Awe in his resignation letter, attributed his action to the paltry N20,000 that he is being paid as salary.
He said the N20,000 monthly salary is not in turn with the present economic realities and a far cry from the Minimum Wage bill passed by the National Assembly of which Senator Ipinsagba was a major player.
He explained that audience had been sought at intervals with the Senator for an upward review but without success.
Awe narrated that his relationship with Senator Ipinsagba started in 2006 at the birthed of his Senatorial bid in which he served as the Secretary of the campaign group.
Awe had served as Personal Assistant to the Senator Ipinsagba when he was the Special Assistant to the Ondo State Government on Industrialization during late Olusegun Agagu’s administration.
He appreciated Senator Ipinsagba for the opportunities given to him to serve and wished him success in his future endeavours.
