Thefrontrank reports that Akeredolu had in August 2019 flagged off the construction of the 7.8km Akure-Oda road which was almost at the completion stage before his death.
Aiyedatiwa while inaugurating the Oda-Akure road on June 3, 2025, acknowledged the efforts of his predecessor, Akeredolu, who “initiated and flagged off the dualisation of the road.”
In February 2018, Akeredolu flagged off the dualisation of the Hospital/Ijoka road in Akure, which has since been abandoned by the state government.
Thefrontrank reports that in June 2023, Akeredolu’s administration commenced the construction of the Onyearugbulem/Shagari Fly-Over.
The Akeredolu’s administration had projected the completion of the project in 12 months, but abandoned immediately after his death.
A resident of Akure, the State capital, while reacting to the listed achievements, said: “This is a display of cluelessness in governance.”
“This is laughable to be honest. God help Ondo State,” said another resident.
Similarly, some residents described most of the achievements as vague, specifically without locations, with the sole purpose of deceiving the unsuspecting Sunshine State indigenes.
