
Joseph Adesuyan has been elected as the new chairman of the Ondo State Online Media Professionals (OMP) following a keenly contested election.
The results, announced by the Chairman and Secretary of the Electoral Committee, Richard Ilesanmi and Kayode Animasaun, showed Adesuyan polling 11 votes to defeat his only challenger, Temitope Adedeji, who secured 3 votes.
Agidi Mary was returned unopposed as treasurer with 13 votes, while Isaac Afolabi scored 13 votes to clinch the position of financial secretary. The committee declared the election free of void vote
In his acceptance speech, Adesuyan expressed gratitude to members for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to lead with dedication, integrity, and commitment to the growth of the association.
Adesuyan also extended an olive branch to his co-contestant, Temitope Adedeji, urging him to join hands in building a stronger, united OMP.
