The Confederation of African Football(CAF) has named Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Laryea to officiate in the semi-final match between Nigeria and Morocco at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
CAF released a list of match officials to handle the game on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles will take on the Atlas Lions of Morocco at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Wednesday at 9.00p.m Nigerian time.
Nii Laryea will take charge of the game, with South Africa’s Zakhele Siwela and Lesotho’s Souru Phatsoane as assistant referees.
Arsénio Maringule of Mozambique will be the third assistant referee, while Rwanda’s Samuel Uwikunda will be on the sideline as the fourth official.
In the video assistant referee booth, there will be Tom Abongile of South Africa, Haythem Guirat of Tunisia, and Stephen Yiembe of Kenya.
Lydia Abebe will serve as the referee assessor for the match.
Nigeria defeated Algeria 2-0 in the quarter-final.
The team had thrashed Mozambique in the second round.
The Eagles also finished the group with an impeccable nine points from three games.
Eric Chelle’s side is the highest-scoring team in the competition with 14 goals.
The team have also broken Nigeria’s record for goals scored in a single AFCON.
