
The Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Adekunle Omoyele, on Saturday, assisted in the rescue of victims involved in an auto accident on the Ife-Ondo-Ore road.
The accident occurred in the early hours of the day, involved a trailer and a coaster bus, resulting in one death and several injuries.
Omoyele and his team while en route Oke-Igbo in Ondo State when they ran into the crash scene.
Recognizing the urgent need for medical assistance, Omoyele immediately volunteered his patrol van and personnel to provide critical on-scene support, using the patrol van to convey the injured to the State Hospital in Ondo for medical attention.
The Corps Commander’s quick intervention not only helped to stabilize the victims but also prevented further delays in accessing healthcare.
He called on all road users to exercise caution, adhere to traffic regulations, and report emergencies promptly to help minimize road accidents and ensure swift rescue operations.
