In a grand display of solidarity and support, the Asiwaju of Delta State and Director, Corporate Services, Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB, Hon. Henry Baro, has hailed His Excellency, Dr Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, for his unwavering commitment to delivering on his campaign promises.
The occasion was the Kwale Free Trade Zone Ground Breaking Ceremony, a watershed moment in the state’s economic history, which took place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Baro lauded Governor Sheriff’s visionary leadership, describing him as a promise keeper who has consistently demonstrated his dedication to the people of Delta State.
As the saying goes, “A king who builds a town brings prosperity to his people.” Governor Sheriff’s projects, which span every nook and cranny of the state’s 25 Local Government Areas, are a proof to his tireless efforts to bring development and prosperity to the people. From roads to healthcare, education to infrastructure, the Governor has proven himself to be a leader who is truly committed to serving the people.
Baro also commended Governor Sheriff for his inclusive approach to governance, noting that his Excellency is a man who is not tribalistic in carrying out his duties. “He is a leader who sees the state as a whole, and not just a particular region or community,” Baro said. “His projects are a testament to his commitment to the unity and progress of Delta State.”
The Kwale Free Trade Zone, Baro noted, is a game-changer for Delta State, which will increase the internal generated revenue, IGR, and create massive employment opportunities for the Youth.
“This project is a fulfillment of the Governor’s promise to bring development to the people,” he said. “We are confident that this project will open a new chapter in the economic development of Delta State.”
Baro urged Deltans to continue to pray and support the Governor’s administration, saying that his leadership was a blessing to the state.
“We must continue to support and pray for our Governor, that God will give him the wisdom and strength to continue to lead us to greater heights,” he said.
As Delta State continues to move forward, one thing is clear: Governor Sheriff is a leader who is making a difference in the lives of his people.
