The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken a significant step towards strengthening its presence in Delta State with the inauguration of the 25 LGAs Seven-man Committee of Membership Revalidation and Mobilization Registration (MRMR) on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the party Secretariat in Asaba.
The committee, tasked with driving the party’s grassroots expansion, was urged to be diligent and transparent in their duties.
The Delta State Chairman of the Committee on MRMR, Dr Leo Ebinim, emphasized the importance of reaching out to the grassroots, stating that Local Government Areas (LGAs) would inaugurate wards, which would in turn inaugurate units for registration purposes.
The party aims to register five million Deltans and has declared all existing membership cards invalid as of January 7, 2026. New cards will be issued to revalidated members while new registrations are processed.
Prof. Festus Arunaye, National Representative of MRMR, charged committee members to avoid fraudulent activities and prioritize honesty, stating that the ADC is a party of the common man and nobody can jeopardize its efforts in bringing desired transformation to the country.
Dr. Leo stressed that the party’s goal is to harness Nigeria’s resources for the benefit of its citizens, emphasizing that collective efforts can achieve common goals.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent state and national leaders, including Hon. Dr. George Timinimi, Hon. Emeka Ozegbe, Hon. Anthony Omonigho, Hon. Richard Aduvie, and Pastor Johnson Urukpe, amongst others.
The ADC’s Membership Revalidation and Mobilization Registration (MRMR) initiative is part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its grassroots structure and build a credible, verifiable national membership database ahead of future political engagements.
The party has introduced a unique MRMR Membership Card, designed to serve as both a verification and empowerment tool.
