The headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) located in the Wuse area of Abuja, was on Monday sealed by officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
Officials of FCTA arrived at the place at about 2.05 pm, and asked the security guards to meet with those in charge, but before the security guards could make contact with the management, the place was sealed.
The officials action triggered protest and after back and forth for like 15 minutes, the building was temporarily unsealed for staff members to move out their cars and personal belongings, after which it was sealed again.
In March, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike approved the revocation of 4,794 land titles for non-payment of ground rent for more than 25 years.
FCTA had previously alerted the PDP to resolve the long-standing debt, which reportedly dated back to the 1990s.
