Judiciary workers in Ondo State under the auspices of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) on Wednesday suspended their two weeks old strike.
Thefrontrank reports that the workers had embarked on an indefinite strike on June 13, 2025, over the failure of the state government to grant them financial autonomy.
Mr Kehinde Alade, the state Secretary of JUSUN, in a statement in Akure said that the government has made commitment in implementing the workers’ demands.
“There is commitment on the part of the state government to constitute a committee to work within reasonable timeframe to fast track the implementation of our demands in July 2025.
“It is also resolved that judiciary will be allowed henceforth to manage its funds on a monthly basis starting from July 2025.
“In view of this development, JUSUN members, Ondo State Branch are hereby directed to resume work with immediate effect, while engagement with the government continues till the implementation of our demands in July,” Alade stated.
