How Ayatollah Khamenei was killed mid-meeting
U.S and Israeli forces timed their opening salvo to coincide with a meeting Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was holding with his top aides, according to two U.S sources.
Israeli officials say Khamenei was killed alongside Ali Shamkhani, the former National Security Council secretary, and IRGC Commander Mohammed Pakpour.
Two Iranian sources confirm Khamenei was sitting with Shamkhani and Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani when the bombs started falling.
Thefrontrank gathered that the CIA tracked Khamenei for months and had information he would attend a high-level meeting in Tehran on Saturday.
According to sources familiar with the operation, the CIA had been monitoring Ayatollah Khamenei’s movements for months, building a clearer picture of his locations and patterns.
Then came the breakthrough, intelligence revealed a Saturday morning meeting of top Iranian officials at a leadership compound in central Tehran.
Most critically, the ‘supreme leader’ himself was expected to be there.
“Someone knew exactly where the Supreme Leader would be, who he would be with, and when to pull the trigger.
“That kind of intelligence doesn’t come from satellite imagery.
“That comes from someone in the room,” the source disclosed.
The 36-year rule of Khamenei built Iran into a powerful anti-US force, spreading its military sway across the Middle East, while using an iron fist to crush repeated unrest at home.
Khamenei, aged 86, was killed on Saturday, Iranian state media announced, in air strikes by Israel and the US that pulverized his central Tehran compound, after decades of efforts to resolve the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program diplomatically failed.
