Much must have been said about the incident that happened at Ipele on the eve of the new year 2025-2026 , where the enemies of progress and distabilization threw explosives to the Police station in the Community and razed it beyond recognition ,though no life was lost.
The most shocking part of the whole scenerio was the sudden appearance of the serving House Of Representatives member of the area ,Hon Timehin Adelegbe, who has for a long period of time abandoned the community , donating five million naira (N5m) to the community for what we dont know.
The dis-honourable thing about the situation was how he suddenly donated the money as if ,the community was doing a fund raising for such project.
The Elders of Ipele had notified the House of Reps member severally to even assist the community on a developmental project but which all efforts proved abortive.
However, the wooden town hall project embarked upon as constituency project by the lawmaker has caved-in abandoned and neglected in the bush.
It shocked the good people of the area to the marrow hearing that he donated the money for the burnt Police station which was personally built and equiped by a single family of Dairos in Ipele and handed over to the Nigeria Police as token for the community.
Hon Timehin Adelegbe, as a matter of truth, has not done anything meaningful and reasonable for the community in any capacity.
The Concerned Youths and Elders of the community appreciate the efforts of the security agencies in the state – The Police, DSS, Nigerian Army, Amotekun and other outfits who have tremendously showed their professionalism in making sure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
We also appreciate most especially ,the governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his swift reaction in encouraging the security personnel in the state.
Hon Timehin Adelegbe, should remember that, Ipele is one of the communities that made him what he is today and leaving us behind, we will wait for him when he is about to descend from the ladder.
