Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has won the Anambra governorship election, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Edogah Omoregie, made the declaration at the commission’s headquarters in Awka on Sunday.
According to the results announced by INEC, from the 21 local governments, APGA secured 422, 664 votes, leaving its closest rival, the All Progressives Congress (APC), far behind with APC, 99, 445 votes.
The Labour Party (LP) came third with 10,576 votes.
