Lady found dead in Ondo hotel, boyfriend flees
A yet-to-be-identified young lady has been found dead in an hotel in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The deceased had checked into the hotel with her boyfriend.
The incident occurred on Tuesday and was discovered when hotel staff entered the room after repeated knocks went unanswered.
The hotel, located along Ore–Okitipupa road, became a scene after workers found the lady lying lifeless on the bed without visible signs of violence on her body.
A source disclosed that the deceased had checked into the hotel with a man identified as Sodiq Ganiyu, reportedly to spend the night.
“They came in together earlier in the day, but when the staff gained access to the room later, the lady was found unresponsive,” the source said.
Ganiyu was said to have fled the hotel immediately after the discovery.
A security source said the lady’s body has been deposited at a morgue in Ore.
The source said an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the actual cause of death.
Police are said to be intensifying efforts to arrest the fleeing suspect as investigations continue.
