A man, identified as Abodunde Solomon has attacked his wife with machete at Supare-Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government area of Ondo State, leaving her with deep cuts on the body.
It was gathered that the man allegedly attacked his wife with machete in their residence over alleged infidelity.
Sources disclosed that the woman is currently on admission in the hospital.
The husband was said to have fled the community after the attack.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Police Command in the state, DSP Kazeem Jimoh, said: “It was a case of domestic violence and grievous harm reported to the police.
“The suspect, Abodunde Solomon, who is the victim’s husband and is currently at large, allegedly macheted the victim with a cutlass, causing injuries.
“The victim has been taken to the hospital for medical attention, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect.”
