
Prof. Yilwatda Nentawe, the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has pledged to unify all organs and participants of the party nationwide.
Nentawe, whose appointment was announced at the ruling party’s NEC meeting in Abuja on Thursday.
“I pledge without hesitation that I will work with everybody in the party…I will expand the party with you,” said Nentawe in his acceptance speech.
Earlier, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who heads the Progressive Governors’ Forum, announced the motion for the zoning of the party chairmanship to the North Central.
He then moved for Nentawe’s nomination as party chairman.
The motion was seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
Nentawe was the APC’s Governorship candidate in Plateau State in the 2023 elections.
