The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has reduced its petrol price.
NNPCL filling stations in Abuja and environs reduced their fuel pump price to N1,165 per liter on Wednesday, from N1,260 per litre on Tuesday.
The reduction represents N95 per litre and implemented at NNPCL filling stations in Jabi, Lifecamp, Wuse Zone 5, and Zone 4, as of filing this report, while Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) is sold at N1,535 per litre.
Other filling stations such as NIPCO, AP, and AA Rano now sell PMS at N1,195, N1,200, and N1,223 per litre, respectively.
A manager at MRS filling station, who preferred to remain anonymous, said the retail outlet would adjust its petrol price by N100 to N1,167 per litre from Thursday.
“We will reduce our petrol price to N1,167 per liter from Thursday,” he said.
Nigerian filling stations had reduced fuel prices by N20 per litre after Dangote Refinery lowered its gantry price to N1,075 amid a drop in crude oil prices.
Thefrontrank reports that Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude are currently $91.76 and $86.86 per barrel, respectively.
