In a monumental move, Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, has etched his name in the annals of Delta State’s history by settling decades-long DESOPADEC backlogs, a proof to his unwavering commitment to the people of the state.
This remarkable feat has been hailed by Hon. Henry Baro, the Asiwaju of Delta State and Director, Corporate Services, Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB, as a game-changer for the region.
Baro lauded Governor Oborevwori’s bold move, stating that the decision to offset the outstanding DESOPADEC liabilities has brought unbridled joy to the people of Delta State.

The DESOPADEC backlogs, which had accumulated since 2010, had become a millstone around the neck of the state, hindering development and progress.
