The Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSAA) extends warm greetings to all religious organizations across Ondo State. We deeply appreciate the moral, spiritual, and humanitarian impact you continue to make in strengthening our communities.
Recently, the Agency has observed an increase in streetlight-pole advertisements installed across Akure and other major areas without the required permit. While we understand the importance of promoting religious programmes and outreach activities, we kindly remind all organizations that outdoor advertising whether by churches, mosques, or any institution must follow the established regulatory process.
Our role is not to hinder your mission, but to ensure orderliness, safety, and fairness in managing public spaces. These guidelines help protect infrastructure, maintain the beauty of our cities, and promote a safer environment for everyone.
Both holy books encourage us to act with discipline and respect for constituted authority:
“Let all things be done decently and in order.” — 1 Corinthians 14:40
“O you who believe, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you.” — Qur’an 4:59
In this same spirit, OSSAA humbly calls on all religious bodies to kindly obtain the necessary permits before mounting streetlight-pole advertisements or similar promotional materials.
We also appeal to our faith communities to join hands with government in building a saner, cleaner, and more organized Ondo State. By complying with signage regulations, we work together toward the shared vision of a well-ordered environment that reflects the values we all uphold.
