The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Ondo State Branch, has embarked on an indefinite strike demanding for the implementation of judicial financial autonomy.
A notice of strike by the union on Friday said the decision follows the expiration of the seven-day ultimatum issued to the State government on June 4, 2025.
Thefrontrank reports that the notice signed by Alade Kehinde, the union Secretary, read: “NOTICE OF INDUSTRIAL ACTION
“Dear Esteemed Members,
“We, the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Ondo State Branch, hereby notify you that we will commence our planned industrial action starting today, June 13, 2025.
“This decision follows the expiration of the 7-day ultimatum issued to the Government of Ondo State on June 4, 2025, and the lack of response from the government to address the reneged parts of the agreements outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on May 20, 2015.
“We direct all our members to stay off duty starting from today, June 13, 2025, till further directive, and to adhere strictly to the industrial action guidelines.
“We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all our members during this period.
