The Ondo State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for February will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 across the state.
The announcement was contained in a statement by Sam Bolala, Special Assistant to the Governor on Environmental Health and Safety, on Friday in Akure.
According to the statement, there will be restriction of human and vehicular movement between the hour of 7. 00 a.m and 10.00 a.m.
The statement read: “This is to formally inform the good people of Ondo State that there will be a statewide Environmental Sanitation Exercise on Saturday 28th 2026 across all the 18 Local Government Areas, as approved by the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Dr Tom Loko.
“The exercise will take place between the hour of 7:00am – 10:00am.
“There will be restriction of movement during the sanitation period to allow residents actively participate in cleaning their surroundings.
“All residents are hereby encouraged to clean their homes and immediate environments, clear drainage channels, properly dispose of together and promote a pollution-free and healthy environment.
“Let us all work together to ensure a clean, safe, and sustainable environment for the progress of our dear state.”
