The Executive Chairman of Ose Local Government, Hon. Clement Kolapo Ojo, with deep grief and utmost respect, hereby declares a three-day mourning period in Ose Local Government Area in honour of the late Mr. Nelson Adepoyigi, the APC Ward 5 Chairman who was recently kidnapped and brutally murdered by unknown assailants.
This period of mourning will take place from:
Monday, 19th May 2025 to Wednesday, 21st May 2025
(Both days inclusive)
During this time, all flags across the Local Government premises are to be flown at half-mast as a symbol of our collective sorrow. All government-related public activities will be held in a solemn tone in honour of the departed. In addition, all official activities of the Chairman are hereby suspended for the duration of the mourning period.
Mr. Nelson Adepoyigi was a dedicated party leader, a passionate community builder, and a patriotic son of Ose whose untimely death is not only a personal loss to his family, but also a painful blow to the entire local government.
We call on all residents of Ose Local Government Area to observe this mourning period with dignity, sobriety, and in solidarity with the bereaved family.
May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may justice be served swiftly.
