The Inspector-General of Police(IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has appointed DSP Jimoh Abayomi Kazeem as the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) for the Ondo State Command.
Kazeem is to takeover from the outgoing PPRO, DSP Ayanlade Olushola.
This is contained in a statement signed by Inspector Ajayi Abosede, on behalf of Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, Adebowale Lawal on Monday in Akure.
According the statement, the new PPRO is a member of Regular course 2 set 2019 and a graduate of Computer Science from the prestigious Nigeria Police Academy, Kano.
“He is well experienced and has worked in different capacities including Crime Officer and Patrol & Guard Officer in Lagos State command before proceeding to EOD-CBRN Force Headquarters as unit commander.
“Until his recent posting, he worked at the Counter Terrorism and CBRNE Unit of INTERPOL section in FCID Abuja.
“He has attended courses/training on Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing, Basic EOD-CBRNe Training, Global Biosecurity Enhancement Programme for Law Enforcement Joint Criminal-Epidemiologic Investigation and Counter Terrorism Technical Training to mention a few.
“His intellectualism in investigation, administration and communication skills has made him worthy of the appointment.
