
Senator Jide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District, says he has distributed 100 back-to-school bags to students in district, describing it as part of his commitment and dedication to educational development of the students.
Celebrating the distribution of the school bags, Ipinsagba said it was “part of my long-term vision to reduce dropout rates, and support hardworking parents.”
According to a statement signed by Prince Adeyinka Ajagunna, SSA, Media and Communication to Ipinsagba, the bags are “with educational materials”.
The statement was titled “Ondo North: Senator Ipinsagba supports over 100 Students with Educational materials ahead of school resumption.”
It read: “Over 100 Students have benefitted from the “Back to School”, Educational Support initiative of the senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Jide Ipinsagba.
“At an event marking the end of the holiday lessons in the Senatorial District, held at Mega School, Oke-Oka and Adekunle Ajasin Town Hall, Isua-Akoko, students, parents, school officials, and community leaders were seen appraising the good gesture of Senator Ipinsagba.
“Students from Akoko South East and Akoko South West Federal Constituency in JSS1 to JSS3 and SSS1 to SSS2 received school bags filled with essential learning tools including mathematical sets, English and Mathematics textbooks, exercise books, and biros.
“Speaking at the event, Senator Ipinsagba represented by his Personal Assistant, Hon. Kayode Waare Kayode, emphasized his commitment and dedication to educational development of students in the Senatorial District.
“I understands that education is the foundation for a better future. This program is part of my long-term vision to reduce dropout rates, support hardworking parents, and encourage academic excellence among students.”
“Some of the students, Kolawole Blessing and Olarenwaju Emmanuel from a school in Supare-Akoko thanked the Senator for the materials, saying it would boost their performance and ease the burden on their parents.
“Some Parents, Mrs. Bisi Ade and Mrs. Dare Janet described initiative as a timely intervention that would allow their children to resume school with confidence and pride.
“On his part, the Principal of Africa Church Grammar School, Oka-Akoko and Vice President 1 of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Ondo State, Mr. Olugbenga Aminu, praised the initiative describing it as unprecedented.
“In all my years as an educator and school administrator, I have never witnessed this level of direct intervention aimed specifically at empowering both students and schools. This gesture by Senator Ipinsagba is not only timely, but deeply impactful. It goes beyond politics, it shows true leadership and concern for the educational future of our children.”
“Mr. Aminu also urged other political leaders and stakeholders to emulate the Senator’s example, adding that such actions bridge the gap between government and grassroots communities, especially in the education sector.
“Principals and education stakeholders present at the event described the programme as “transformational” and “a rare kind of empowerment” that directly targets the classroom realities of public school students.”
