Ondo State is set to experience a historic cultural convergence as the maiden edition of the Cultural Heritage Festival Experience holds with pomp and colour on Saturday, 29th November 2025, at the Ondo State House of Assembly Arcade, Akure, starting at 11:00am.
The festival will bring together top government officials, traditional rulers, cultural troupes, dignitaries, and cultural ambassadors from across Nigeria.
Leading the esteemed guests as Special Guest of Honour is the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Also expected as Royal Fathers of the Day are:
His Royal Majesty, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, Odundun II, the Deji of Akure, and
His Royal Majesty, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo and Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas.
These revered monarchs will grace the occasion in support of preserving and promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural identity.
Designed to highlight the richness and vibrancy of Nigeria’s three major ethnic groups — Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa — the Cultural Heritage Festival Experience will feature traditional music, dance, attire, food, craft exhibitions, and other artistic displays that reflect the nation’s shared heritage.
Speaking to journalists in Lagos, the promoter and Chief Executive Officer of AA Entertainment & Tourism, Amb. (Dr) Abayomi Ajepe, stated that the festival aims to promote unity in diversity, enhance peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, and position Ondo State as a rising hub for cultural tourism.
He emphasized that the event will celebrate cultural uniqueness while fostering national harmony, stimulating the creative economy, boosting tourism, and providing a platform for cultural exchange.
The maiden edition promises an unforgettable cultural spectacle, inspiring pride in Nigeria’s heritage and reinforcing the belief that our diversity is our strength.
Side attractions include performances by world-class DJs, masquerade displays, traditional fashion showcases, cultural artefacts, crafts exhibitions, music, games, and much more.
