The Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSAA) on Friday commenced statewide post-rainstorm clean up, repairs and enforcement exercise on damaged outdoor structures in major cities across the state.
A statement by Yòmí Oyékàn, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Signage and Advertisement, explained that the exercise was in line with the Maintenance Notice issued to all outdoor advertisers following recent rainstorm.
The statement read: “In line with the Maintenance Notice issued to all outdoor advertisers, officials of the Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSAA) have commenced a coordinated street-by-street clean-up, inspection, and corrective exercise across Ondo State, effective Friday, 6th February, 2026.
“During the exercise, OSSAA technical team not only identified unsafe, defaced, and displaced advertisement structures, but also carried out immediate repairs and fixes on some structures and advertisements affected by the recent rainstorm, to forestall potential hazards and restore order where urgent intervention was required.
“The ongoing operation is aimed at protecting lives and property, improving environmental aesthetics, and enforcing compliance with extant regulations. Advertisers are again urged to promptly maintain their installations to avoid sealing, removal, or other enforcement measures.
“Public safety first. Clean streets. Responsible advertising.”
