The Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency has opened a payment window for political campaign permits ahead of electioneering in the state.
Mr Yomi Oyekan, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Signage and Advertisement, announced the directive in a statement in Akure.
Oyekan stated that the directive applies to all senatorial, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly aspirants intending to deploy campaign materials in Ondo State.
He warned that no aspirant is allowed to erect, display, or circulate campaign signage without obtaining official permits and completing payment to the agency.
According to him, approved fees are fixed at ₦2 million for senatorial aspirants, ₦1.5 million for House of Representatives aspirants, and ₦1 million for House of Assembly aspirants.
Oyekan warned that any campaign material deployed without approval would be removed immediately, while defaulters would face sanctions under existing regulations.
He added that full building branding, including wall wraps and façade branding, requires compulsory inspection and written approval before deployment.
Oyekan stressed that unauthorised building branding would not be tolerated anywhere within the state.
According to him, all payments must be made into the Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency administrative charges account with Access Bank.
Proof of payment must be presented to the agency for verification and issuance of permits before any campaign material is deployed.
He said that the Agency would commence strict monitoring and enforcement statewide, warning all political stakeholders to comply fully with the directive.
