The Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSA) has ordered the immediate removal of all unapproved signages, banners, branded buildings, billboards, posters and other advertisement displays in Government Reserved Areas (GRAs) across the state.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Signage and Advertisement, Yòmí Oyékàn.
The directive specifically targets GRAs including Alagbaka, Ijapo, Oba-Ile, Ikare-Akoko and other designated areas.
Offenders are required to either remove their unauthorised adverts at once or visit OSSA to regularise them through the proper permit process.
The Agency cautioned that defaulters would face enforcement action, with taskforce teams set to dismantle illegal structures without further notification.
It emphasised that the exercise is part of the state government’s commitment to maintaining urban discipline, regulating outdoor advertising and promoting a visually appealing environment.
Business owners and brand custodians have been urged to contact the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Signage and Advertisement for guidance on compliance and permit processing.
“The Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSA) hereby issues a formal directive to all business owners, individuals, organizations and brand custodians who currently have unapproved or unpermitted signages, banners, branded buildings, billboards, posters, and advertisement materials erected within Government Reserved Areas (GRAs) to act without delay.
