
As part of its commitment towards strengthening the education sector, the Aiyedatiwa-led Government has conducted induction training for the over 1000 recently recruited teachers into the State secondary school subsector as a way of putting them on the right footing and acquaint them with nitty-gritty of the teaching career.
The induction ceremony, billed to hold in the three senatorial districts of the state, kicked off at Ikare Akoko in the Northern senatorial distric and was declared open by the Ondo state Head of Service Mr Bayo Philip, who was represented by Dr Olumide Asere, Director-General of the State Public Service Training Institute (PSTI), Ilara-Mokin.
With the theme ‘Mastering the Teaching Terrain, Shaping Young Minds and Building Bright Future’, Philip said the exercise further reflected the Ayedatiwa administration’s strong resolve to restore dignity and professionalism to the teaching profession and enhance the delivery capacity of the new teachers.
The Head of Service charged the newly recruited teachers to make good use of the opportunity provided through the training to shape their teaching career and be compliant to modern day techniques.
While thanking the state governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the recent approval of the recruitment of the over one thousand teachers, Philip reiterated the continued resolve the present administration in the state to restore the glory of the teaching profession and take the education sector to an enviable height
The induction programme is expected to continue in other designated centres across the three senatorial districts of state.
