The Police have arrested five persons for allegedly brutalizing the Vice Principal of Complete Child Development Centre, Awule, Akure, the Ondo State capital, identified as Mr Rotifa.
Thefrontrank reports that Rotifa was a few days ago beaten to a pulp by thugs allegedly hired by the mother of a student of the school for not allowing her son, Wisdom Elisha to cheat in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE).
A statement in Akure on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ayanlade Olushola, reads: “Following the assault on the Vice Principal of Complete Child Development Centre Akure, the Ondo State Police Command has arrested Mrs Dorcas Asije and four other accomplices.
“Acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) led a tactical team to ensure their swift arrest.
“The case has been transferred to SCID and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
“The public is advised to remain law-abiding and report suspicious activity to the nearest police station.”
