Police operatives have arrested an 18-year-old teenager, Johnson Daniel, for allegedly stabbing his bossom friend to death during an argument in Owo, Ondo State.
Thefrontrank gathered that the incident occurred at about 4:00 p.m on Thursday.
The suspect reportedly stabbed the victim, identified as Amos Ariyo, in the chest and immediately fled the scene.
The tragic incident occurred on a roadside in the community, leaving residents in shock.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, said preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was allegedly stabbed by the suspect during an argument.
He noted that the victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
Jimoh said the suspect has been arrested, while police operatives had visited the scene and recovered the knife used in the attack.
He disclosed that the case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
