Mr Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of a former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo, has described Ondo State under the watch of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as one of the dirtiest states in Nigeria with very low development.
Fayose, who had described Aiyedatiwa as one of the non-performing governors in the country, urged him to seek guidance from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), Nyesom Wike, on infrastructural development.
Fayose emphasised that going by his recent visit to Ondo, the state was one of the dirtiest in the country with very low development.
He lamented that despite being an oil-producing state, Ondo State under the watch of Aiyedetiwa has nothing to show for the huge allocations receiving from the Federation Account Allocation Committee.
“I was in Ondo State last week; sir, even your aide that replied to me can’t live in Ondo State after your government with the way the state is right now.
“Your state is one of the dirtiest states in Nigeria with very low development. Oil-producing state for that matter
“You need to come to Abuja for Wike to teach you how to work.
“I stand by my remarks! The Ondo State governor is a lazy governor. Nothing to show for the billions he is getting from the federal government.
“We are poor because we have poor thinking leaders managing our resources.
“If I am Ondo State governor today, I can bring in N2 trillion per year without IGR and federal allocation.”
