Fourteen registered political parties have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ondo State Rainbow Coalition (OSRC) in a historic move to reshape the political landscape of the State.
The signing ceremony held in Akure, the Ondo State capital, over the weekend, was convened by the Coalition Chairman/Convener, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya, and witnessed by Chairmen and representatives of all signatory parties.
According to the MoU, the Coalition will operate under the motto “Unity, Courage, Progress” with its logo as the 7-Colour Rainbow Arch over the Map of Ondo State, symbolizing unity across Ondo South, Central, and North Senatorial Districts.
Speaking after the signing of the MoU, the Chairman/Convener, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya, described the OSRC as “a rainbow of hope, a coalition of courage, and a movement for progress that will end the era of divisive politics in Ondo State and usher in inclusive development for our people.”
“Details of the MoU and the names of the political parties will be made available to the public in due course,” Adesanya said in a statement.
He called on all lovers of Ondo State, at home and in the diaspora, to join the Rainbow Coalition toward building a stronger, united, and prosperous State.
