15 travellers burnt to death, 25 injured in auto crash – FRSC
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Niger State, Aishatu Sa’adu, said 15 travellers were burnt death with 25 others hospitalised during a fatal road crash on Enagi-Mokwa Road.
the Sector Commander, who made the disclosure on Sunday in Minna, explained that the accident involved two buses coming from the same direction.
According to her, 15 people were burnt to death when the buses engulfed in flame after the head-on collision in the evening of Saturday.
Sa’adu said that 25 travellers, who sustained varying degree of injuries, were taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Bida and General Hospital in Kutigi.
The sector commander attributed the causes of accident to wrongfully overtaking at a bend and speeding.
