The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), Nyesom Wike, has unveiled over 80 campaign buses for candidates of the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State.
Lere Olayinka, media aide to Wike, made the disclosure in a post on his official Facebook page on Friday.
Olayinka said the buses were provided for the All Progressives Congress(APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) campaign teams and coordinates.
He stated that the vehicles were driven through major streets of Port Harcourt before proceeding to the stadium on Friday.
Olayinka explained that the roadshow was “aimed at creating awareness and building excitement ahead of the President’s visit, as campaign supporters took the message of the rally across the city.”
President Bola Tinubu is expected to visit Rivers State on Saturday for a campaign rally ahead of the January 16 presidential election.
Thefrontrank reports that the Rainbow Coalition is a cross-party political movement initiated by Wike to mobilize grassroots and cross-party support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
