Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has approved the appointment of a former Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Ogundeji Iroju, as Special Adviser on Legislative Matters.
This is contained in a statement by Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Monday.
The governor also approved the appointment of the first batch of new Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) to his administration.
Those appointed as Senior Special Assistants include Olaoluwa Adesanya, SSA on Inter-Party Affairs; Seyi Lawrence Aletile, SSA on Entertainment and Tourism; Adekunle Orisamoluwa, SSA on Support Groups Activities; and Hon. Favour Semilore Tomomewo, SSA on Public Health.
Mrs Temilola Odetola was appointed Special Assistant on Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
The government said the appointments were part of the efforts to strengthen its team and enhance engagement across various sectors and stakeholder groups.
Other appointments contained in the first batch include additional Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants listed in the accompanying schedule.
The new appointees are expected to assume their respective responsibilities as the Aiyedatiwa administration continues to implement programmes and policies across the state.
