The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Tuesday formally inaugurated the the state chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
Aiyedatiwa described the initiative as a structured grassroots mobilisation architecture designed to drive coordinated political engagement across the state for the reelection of President Bola Tinubu.
Thefrontrank reports that the inauguration was held at the Gani Fawehinmi Arcade Ground, Akure.
The governor said the unveiling was the activation of “a movement of conviction, organisation, and disciplined mobilisation,” signifying what he termed a shift “from vision to structure and from intent to coordinated action.”
Aiyedatiwa said the platform constitutes the grassroots engine room of a broader national political resolve.
He noted that both the Federal Government and the National Assembly were firmly aligned towards securing the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.
He explained that participants were being positioned as frontline representatives of that national drive, stressing that the platform is operational rather than symbolic and designed to disseminate messages of reform, continuity and progress across all local government areas, wards, communities and households in Ondo State.
The governor maintained that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not abstract, but a re-engineered governance framework aimed at addressing structural economic and developmental challenges while laying a foundation for sustainable growth.
He highlighted key interventions in Ondo State to include improved infrastructure connectivity, referencing the Lagos-Canada Coastal Highway and ongoing road evaluations extending to the Benin corridor, alongside agricultural revitalisation and renewed investor confidence.
Aiyedatiwa further noted the state’s alignment with federal priorities in tourism development, the marine and blue economy, and industrial expansion, describing synergy between federal policy direction and state implementation as critical to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He charged the newly inaugurated ambassadors and coordinators across the 18 local government areas to ensure disciplined, structured and credible grassroots engagement, stressing that mobilisation must be anchored on organisation, consistency and integrity.
According to him, “mobilisation is not noise-making but structure,” adding that effective political communication requires coordination and clarity of message.
He urged participants to engage citizens in relatable language, including local dialects, while upholding discipline, unity, loyalty and service in their assignments.
Aiyedatiwa said the ultimate objective is to build a functional statewide political network capable of translating support into electoral victory, reiterating that the central goal remains the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.
In his address, the Governor of Imo State and Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Hope Uzodinma, described the initiative as a strategic political project of national importance aimed at securing the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
Uzodinma, who was represented at the event by the South-West Coordinator of the group, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, who is also Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, said the initiative was designed to deepen grassroots mobilisation and strengthen political structures across all local government areas.
He urged members of the platform to view their roles as a service-driven responsibility focused on advancing the President’s policy agenda at community level.
He stated that the current administration has implemented bold economic reforms that stabilised governance, improved revenue generation and enhanced federal allocations to states, in addition to ensuring prompt payment of salaries and pensions.
He also cited reforms in the education sector, including reduced industrial disputes and improved access to tertiary education.
Uzodinma expressed confidence that President Tinubu would record a decisive victory in the 2027 general elections, projecting widespread national support, including the Federal Capital Territory.
In his goodwill message, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Hon. Babatunde Kolawole, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for hosting the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, describing the gathering as highly successful.
He noted the massive turnout of party stakeholders and supporters from all 18 local government areas, alongside national and state-level dignitaries.
Kolawole said the event was not for persuasion but consolidation, describing it as a celebration of what he termed an already secured political advantage.
He expressed confidence that the APC would deliver one million votes for President Tinubu in the forthcoming election, citing the performance of both the President and the governor as evidence of visionary leadership under the Renewed Hope and Ease of Doing Business frameworks.
He warned against political distractions, insisting that attempts to blackmail the party leadership or the administration would fail, adding that the APC remains united and firmly structured under the governor’s leadership.
In his welcome address, the Ondo State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, said the initiative was established to strengthen political engagement between President Tinubu and Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general election.
Olabimtan described President Tinubu as a reform-driven leader taking bold policy decisions, contrasting the current administration’s proactive governance approach with what he described as reactive leadership in the past.
He noted that despite inheriting a fragile economy, the administration had recorded progress in infrastructure development, youth empowerment and economic diversification, citing over 400 road projects nationwide, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, improved passport processing systems, and education reforms benefiting over one million students.
He emphasised the need to counter misinformation and strengthen government-citizen communication, warning that unchecked false narratives could distort public understanding of policies.
Olabimtan said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is a national enlightenment platform established to educate citizens on government policies and interventions.
He explained that the structure has coordinators at local government and ward levels, operating through a 25-member unit system and a broader 400-member framework.
He added that the initiative operates on a three-tier structure comprising grassroots mobilisation, government information dissemination and APC party coordination, designed to ensure consistency of messaging.
He further stated that the platform would deploy town hall meetings, roadshows, faith-based engagements and stakeholder forums to enhance civic participation, improve feedback mechanisms and combat misinformation.
