Aiyedatiwa’s CPS supports families of deceased journalists with N500,000

Ebenezer Adeniyan, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, on Friday supported families of late journalists and female journalists, who are widows in the state, with N500,000.

The financial support is primarily to advance the education of their children.

Ten beneficiaries were presented with N50,000 each by Adeniyan, with a promise to repeat the gesture at the beginning of each academic term.

The CPS, while presenting a cheque of N500,000 to the Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ondo State Chapter, Tola Gbadamosi, said the gesture was borne out of the love Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has for media professionals in the state.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Ondo State Council, Leke Adegbite; and the Vice Chairman, Hakeem Gbadamosi, attended the presentation of the cheques held at the NUJ Press Centre, Akure.
