The All Progressives Congress(APC) has cleared five aspirants to participate in the senatorial contests ahead of the forthcoming party primary.
According to a list, seven aspirants were disqualified from the race.
Those cleared include the lawmaker representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Remi Oseni; the senator representing Oyo Central, Yunus Akintunde; alongside Gbenga Adegbola, Adeolu Akande and Hannah Ogunesan.
Among those reportedly not cleared are Wasiu Ajimobi and Kolapo Kola-Daisi, who is related by marriage to the late former Governor of Oyo State.
The Chairman of the APC Primaries Committee in Oyo State, Mojeed Alabi, had earlir confirmed during a press briefing that while some aspirants were approved to contest, others were disqualified.
However, Alabi did not disclose the names of the affected aspirants at the time.
