Archbishop, wife, son kidnapped in Abia

Archbishop Uka Uka Osim of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, his wife, Anne, and son, Roland, have been kidnapped.

The family, alongside three other clergymen, were kidnapped on May 1, 2024, in Abia State.

They were travelling to Awka in Anambra State on evangelical duties when they were abducted.

The three priests kidnapped alongside the Osim family have been identified as Azuka Ochu, Moses Okafor and Anderson Akwazie.

The incident was confirmed by the administrator of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star(BCS) in Abia State, Bishop Denis Onuoha.

He said four days after the kidnap, the abductors had yet to reach out to anyone.

“We are very worried but we are assured that the Almighty Father whom they worship and work for with total devotion will help them out,” he said.

While calling on security agencies to ensure their prompt rescue, he said the church is deep in prayers believing that the Archbishop and his brethren will be rescued unhurt.

Police authorities in Abia and Anambra States are yet to react to the incident.
