The Central Bank of Nigeria has redeployed its deputy governors.
The effective date is June 1, 2026.
The reassigned portfolios was stated on the apex bank’s official website.
The move signals an internal portfolio realignment at a sensitive point in the monetary and financial system reform cycle.
Accordingly, Mr Philip Ikeazor was moved to Economic Policy; Muhammad Sani Abdullahi was reassigned to Corporate Services; Emem Usoro took responsibility for Operations; and Lamido Yuguda moved to Financial System Stability.
The reshuffling placed experienced hands across policy, operations, institutional administration, and systemic risk oversight.
The CBN is led by Governor Olayemi Cardoso together with four deputy governors.
