A patrol van belonging to the Oyo State Amotekun Corps was on Thursday razed by fire at the Mokola area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
It was gathered that the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. under the Mokola flyover when the patrol van was conveying operatives to an operation.
Eyewitnesses said passers-by and other motorists made frantic efforts to put out the inferno, but the vehicle was consumed before the arrival of the personnel of Oyo State Fire Service.
No life was lost in the incident, though the van was completely burnt beyond repair.
