Former Ondo lawmaker, Akinribido dumps PDP

Tomide Akinribido, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), has dumped the party.

Akinribido resigned his membership of PDP in a letter forwarded to the Chairman of PDP in ward 7, Ondo, Ondo East Local Government Area of the state.

The former lawmaker did not state reasons for his exit from the party but appreciated the party for giving him the platform to serve the people.

The letter reads: “I write to inform you of my decision to resign my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) effective today, February 9th, 2024.

“By notice of this letter, my membership of the PDP terminates immediately.

“Kindly accept the assurance.”

Akinribido represented Ondo West constituency 1 in the ninth Assembly (2019 – 2023).
