Buba Galadima, a former ally of the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has disclosed that friends of Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State are pressuring him to abandon the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, National Leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Galadima claims that Yusuf’s friends began this push three months into the governor’s tenure.
In an interview with Trust TV, the NNPP chieftain hinted that Yusuf has stayed long enough with Kwankwaso.
He said: “Abba was declared as the governor of Kano, and a lot of his friends, three months into his tenure, were pushing him to abandon Kwankwaso. They abandoned Kwankwaso, and for me personally, I think he has stayed long enough with Kwankwaso.”
This comes as Yusuf officially left the NNPP amid speculations that he may defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
