Gunmen kill two police officers

Gunmen on Monday killed four persons including two policemen at Ohii junction on Owerri–Orlu Road in Imo State.

It was learnt that the two policemen were on duty in the area when the hoodlums attacked and killed them.

A source said the gunmen who were in a Corolla SUV car, opened fire and killed the victims, and also dispossessed some POS operators around the scene of some cash.

The gunmen were also said to have robbed a POS operator at Amawire – Orji on the Owerri – Okigwe Road.

Imo Police Spokesman, Henry Okoye, did not respond to the call and text messages.
