‘Hired’ APC supporters lament after receiving N1,500 for full day campaign rally
A viral video has sparked controversy after a group of alleged All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters claimed they were paid only N1,500 each for a full day of campaigning.
The video, shared on TikTok, shows the participants wearing green APC campaign T-shirts bearing the image of President Bola Tinubu.
In the video, one of the men expressed frustration over the amount they were paid, questioning what N1,500 was meant to cover after a full day of campaigning.
“It’s okay, I follow do advertisement. One thousand five hundred naira for what? Family man?” he said.
Other participants could also be heard voicing disappointment, describing the amount as inadequate compensation for their efforts.
The video has since drawn reactions online, with many questioning the treatment of grassroots campaigners and the broader issue of political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
