Hon. Alfred Emberga has officially taken the oath of office as the new Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly.
The swearing-in ceremony took place today following the resignation of the former Speaker earlier in the day.
Thefrontrank reports that the Speaker of the Assembly, Aondona Dajoh, had on Sunday resigned from his position.
Dajoh resignation is contained in a letter dated Sunday, August 24, 2025, and personally signed by him.
