
A former governor of Oyo state, Rashidi Ladoja, has been crowded the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The coronation event is currently underway at Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.
The staff of office was presented to the newly crowded monarch by Governor Seyi Makinde.
Ladoja, who clocked 81 years on Thursday, a day to his coronation, took over the crown from Owolabi Olakulehin who died in June.
He was also a former senator of the state, representing Oyo-south.
The event is attended by dignitaries including Ibikunle Amosun, the former governor of Ogun state, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Kano governor.
Saad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, and Abimbola Owoade, Alaafin of Oyo, also attended the ceremony.
